The BD Venflon I Cannula 22G is a sterile, single-use peripheral intravenous catheter with an integrated injection port that allows needle-free fluid and medication delivery. It is designed for smooth insertion into the vein with minimal patient discomfort. This blue-coded cannula supports efficient access and enhanced safety during IV procedures.
This 22-gauge cannula features a back-cut needle bevel and tapered PTFE catheter tip for easier vein penetration and reduced tissue trauma. The integrated injection port and one-way valve enable bolus medication administration without disconnecting the main line, improving workflow and infection control. Winged wings help stabilize placement and prevent bacterial contamination by keeping the hub off the skin.
