VICRYL (polyglactin 910) Woven Mesh VWMM
The VICRYL (polyglactin 910) Woven Mesh is a sterile, absorbable surgical mesh designed for temporary wound or organ support, particularly where fluid containment is needed. It’s made of tightly woven polyglactin fibers and maintain support during early healing. Available in rectangular, square, or keyhole shapes and various sizes.
This mesh consists of tightly woven polyglactin 910 copolymer, providing firm structural support and controlling wound transudate due to its low porosity. It can be trimmed to custom shapes, serving as a temporary buttress during healing without permanent implantation . In vivo studies show minimal absorption for about six weeks and complete resorption between 60 and 90 days, while maintaining wound strength. It has demonstrated safety when used for dura repair and other soft tissue support, with gentle tissue reaction and no serious complications
