Asahi Gaia First Guide wire 0.014/0.010 x 180 cm AHW14R007P
The Asahi Gaia series (First, Second, Third) are 0.014″ (0.36 mm) hydrophilic PTCA guide wires with tip loads of 1.7 gf, 3.5 gf, and 4.5 gf, respectively. They each have a 15 cm radiopaque spring coil and come in 190 cm or 300 cm lengths for PCI procedures. Designed to navigate chronic total occlusions with high torque control and flexibility.
The Gaia guide wires feature a micro‑cone tapered tip and SLIP‑COAT® hydrophilic coating (≈40 cm) for smooth lesion entry and excellent lubricity. Their composite core and joint‑less spring coil ensure 1:1 torque transmission and minimize whip motion during manipulation. The pre‑shaped 1 mm tip retains its configuration for precise steering, while the radiopaque segment enhances fluoroscopic visibility. This series supports CTO procedures with escalating tip stiffness: First for gentle negotiation, Second for moderate resistance, and Third for higher penetration power.
