NTrap Stone Entrapment and Extraction Device 108
The NTrap Stone Entrapment and Extraction Device is a nitinol-based basket used to capture and extract kidney or ureter stones. It has a 2.8 Fr sheath and a flexible 145 cm length for endoscopic use. The basket is designed to entrap stone fragments and minimize migration during lithotripsy.
NTrap is designed to catch calculi or fragments before, during, or after lithotripsy — reducing the risk of stone migration. Its umbrella-style basket opens to a 7 mm capture configuration, allowing secure entrapment even of small fragments. The nitinol wire construction gives shape-memory and flexibility, helping the basket navigate tortuous urinary anatomy without kinking. Because it can act both as an entrapment net and an extraction basket, it supports efficient, controlled stone removal in one device.
