The Ethicon UltraPro Mesh (REF UMS3, 6 × 11 cm) is a sterile, lightweight, partially absorbable hernia repair mesh used for open and laparoscopic procedures. It combines polypropylene and poliglecaprone-25 for balanced strength and reduced foreign material. Each package contains three rectangular meshes suitable for tension-free reinforcement.
This macroporous mesh integrates durable polypropylene with absorbable poliglecaprone-25, which reduces overall foreign body mass and improves healing over time. Its lightweight knit design withstands more than twice the maximum abdominal pressure in healthy adults, ensuring reliable support. The mesh’s flexible structure mimics natural tissue movement and promotes tissue ingrowth, decreasing risks of seromas and chronic pain. Supplied sterile in a box of three, it supports versatile use in hernia repair.
