Ethicon UltraPro Mesh UMM3 (15 × 15 cm) is a sterile, partially absorbable hernia repair mesh made of polypropylene and poliglecaprone‑25. It is designed for both open and laparoscopic procedures to reduce foreign body mass. Each box contains three square meshes.
This macroporous mesh blends non‑absorbable polypropylene with absorbable poliglecaprone‑25, which gradually degrades to leave approximately 65% less permanent material, reducing chronic strain. Its lightweight, large-pore design supports fluid drainage and tissue ingrowth, lowering risks of seromas and inflammation while maintaining over twice the normal abdominal wall strength. The flexible knit conforms to natural tissue movement, enhancing comfort and reducing postoperative pain. Supplied sterile in a triple-pack, it offers versatility for various hernia repair applications.
