Covidien Standard EDGE Coated Electrodes E1475X
The Standard EDGE Coated Electrode E1475X is a sterile, single-use blade electrode for electrosurgical use. It has a 3-inch (approximately 6.99 cm) hex-locking shaft. The proprietary EDGE™ elastomeric coating concentrates current at the edge to provide efficient cutting with lower power and easy cleaning.
The E1475X EDGE Coated Blade Electrode is engineered for high performance cutting and coagulation, especially when used with the AccuVac smoke evacuation system. Its durable elastomeric EDGE coating reduces sticking and improves efficiency compared to uncoated electrodes. The electrode can be bent (up to about 90°) without damaging the coating, giving better flexibility in surgical settings. After use, the coating allows for quick cleaning: you can wipe it with a moist sponge instead of scraping, reducing downtime.
