Covidien Standard EDGE Coated Electrodes E1452
The Standard EDGE Coated Electrode E1452 is a sterile, single-use needle electrode used in electrosurgery. It has a 7.21 cm (2.84 in) length. The EDGE™ elastomeric coating helps concentrate current at the tip, enabling precise cutting with lower power and easy cleaning.
The E1452 EDGE Coated Needle Electrode is engineered for fine dissection and precise coagulation across a variety of tissue types. Its durable elastomeric coating reduces sticking and improves efficiency compared to uncoated stainless steel electrodes. Additionally, the coating allows the electrode to bend — without cracking or flaking — improving maneuverability in delicate surgical sites. After use, the electrode can be wiped clean with a moist sponge rather than scraped, saving time and reducing interruptions.
