Covidien Standard EDGE Coated Electrodes E1450-6
The Standard EDGE Coated Electrode E1450‑6 is a sterile, single-use blade electrode intended for deep electrosurgical sites. It features a long 6.5‑inch (16.51 cm) shaft for extended reach. The EDGE™ elastomeric coating helps concentrate current at the edge, enabling effective cutting with less sticking and easy cleaning.
The E1450‑6 EDGE Coated Blade Electrode is specifically designed for surgeries in deep or hard-to-reach areas, thanks to its extended 16.51 cm length. Its proprietary elastomeric EDGE™ coating enhances cutting efficiency while reducing tissue adherence compared to plain stainless steel. The electrode is bendable (up to ~90°) without compromising the coating, allowing flexibility in surgical manipulation. After use, the electrode can simply be wiped clean with a moist sponge instead of scraped, minimizing procedural interruptions.
