Conmed Seahawk RC Suture Passer (right, down) GU2003
The Seahawk RC Suture Passer GU2003 is a reusable manual instrument used to pass and retrieve sutures through soft tissue, especially for rotator cuff or shoulder repairs. It has a “right, down” tip orientation (≈ 30° downward angle) for accessing difficult tissue angles. The device is part of the Seahawk line by CONMED, used with #2 sutures.
The GU2003 allows for suture passage and retrieval with a single instrument, reducing time and tool changes during surgery. Its right, down-angled tip is optimized for challenging access zones in rotator cuff repairs or under-surface soft tissue where approach from above is limited. At 138 mm long and built with about a 3.4 mm shaft diameter, it provides good reach and rigidity while maintaining handling control. Designed to be reusable, it must be properly sterilized and maintained to ensure performance and safety.
