The GENESYS Matryx 8.0 × 25.0 mm Interference Screw is an orthopedic implant used in ligament reconstruction surgeries. It helps secure tendon or soft-tissue grafts inside bone tunnels. Its biocomposite material supports bone in-growth over time while gradually being resorbed.
This interference screw offers robust initial mechanical fixation to hold the graft securely during early healing, then gradually transitions to allow bone to integrate into its scaffold. The device is made of CONMED’s proprietary biocomposite blend of microTCP and PLA (96L/4D), combining structural strength with biologic compatibility. Its thread design extends to the distal tip, easing insertion and minimizing trauma to the graft. It is commonly applied in ACL or PCL reconstructions, for both soft tissue and bone–tendon grafts.
