Conmed 4.5mm PopLok Suture Anchor (11mm length, Deployed) CKP-4500
The CKP-4500 is a 4.5 mm PopLok knotless suture anchor with an 11.0 mm deployed length. It is used for soft tissue-to-bone fixation in procedures like rotator cuff repair, capsule repairs, or tendon repairs in orthopaedics. The anchor is made of all-PEEK material, designed to deploy “wings” for subcortical locking once implanted.
This anchor allows surgeons to insert it into a pilot hole, tension the suture if needed, and then trigger deployment of the anchor’s wings, which expand beneath the cortex (“pop”) to lock the anchor in place. It also features a locking mechanism inside the anchor body that traps the suture to reduce reliance on bone density for maintaining fixation. Being constructed of PEEK, it is biocompatible, radiolucent (i.e. minimal interference in X-ray / imaging), and resistant to corrosion or degradation. It gives surgeons a strong, reproducible fixation option while simplifying the surgical handling process by eliminating the need for knots in certain applications.
