The WallFlex™ Biliary RX Uncovered Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent with a 10 mm diameter and 80 mm length, delivered through an 8 Fr (≈ 2.67 mm) catheter. It’s deployed over a 0.035″ guidewire and designed for palliative treatment of malignant biliary strictures with flared ends to help reduce migration.
Engineered for malignant biliary obstruction relief, this uncovered stent ensures consistent radial force to maintain duct patency while allowing drainage from side branches. Its Platinol™ wire construction and reconstrainable delivery system (up to ~80%) enhance flexibility and allow accurate positioning under fluoroscopy. Flared ends minimize migration risk, and MRI-conditional status (1.5 T/3 T) supports safe imaging post-placement . Delivered via a 194 cm working length catheter, it is suitable for ERCP use in tortuous anatomy.
