The WallFlex Biliary RX Fully Covered Stent is a single-use, 10 mm × 60 mm laser-cut nitinol stent on an 8.5 Fr (2.83 mm) delivery catheter. It’s fully covered with Permalume to resist tissue ingrowth and includes flared, looped ends to minimize migration. Designed for malignant biliary strictures and benign chronic pancreatitis, it supports retrieval up to 12 months after placement.
This stent is engineered to reduce foreshortening during deployment, allowing precise positioning across biliary strictures. Its closed-cell design and Permalume covering help prevent tissue in-growth, while the flared ends help resist migration and reduce trauma. The Platinol wire construction adds flexibility to navigate tortuous anatomy, and the delivery system is reconstrainable up to 80% to enable repositioning prior to full deployment. MRI-conditional (1.5 T/3 T) and supported by a Patency & Anti-Migration Replacement Program, it’s a reliable option for both malignant and benign cases.
