The WallFlex™ Biliary RX Uncovered Stent is a single-use, self-expanding nitinol stent measuring 10 mm in diameter and 60 mm in length, delivered via a 7.5 Fr (≈ 2.5 mm) catheter over a 0.035″ guidewire. It features flared ends to aid in migration resistance and is indicated for palliation of malignant biliary strictures. It is MR conditional at 1.5 T and 3 T.
Constructed with a flexible open-cell nitinol design, this stent maintains radial force to restore ductal patency while allowing drainage from side branches, ideal for malignant obstructions. Its retrievable nature up to full deployment allows repositioning under fluoroscopy, thanks to its reconstrainable delivery system. Flared ends are designed to minimize migration and reduce ductal trauma. The stent is MRI-conditional, permitting safe imaging after placement.
