The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent is a sterile, single-use airway stent made of knitted nitinol with an 18 mm expanded diameter and 80 mm length. It includes a 65 mm silicone-covered midsection to prevent tumor ingrowth while leaving both ends uncovered for mucociliary clearance. Delivered via a low-profile distal-release catheter with radiopaque markers, compatible with a 0.035″ pulmonary Jagwire.
This self-expanding stent delivers gentle, constant radial force to maintain airway patency in malignant or obstructive airway disease. The extended 65 mm silicone-covered section resists tumor ingrowth, enhancing long-term lumen preservation. The uncovered proximal and distal ends promote epithelial integration and secretion clearance. Its distal-release system and radiopaque markers allow accurate deployment under bronchoscopic and fluoroscopic guidance.
