The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent is a sterile, single-use, partially covered nitinol airway stent with a 16 mm expanded diameter and 40 mm length. It features a 25 mm silicone-covered midsection to limit tumor ingrowth, combined with uncovered ends for mucociliary clearance. It’s deployed via a distal-release delivery catheter using a 0.035″ pulmonary Jagwire and is equipped with radiopaque markers for precise placement.
This stent’s self-expanding knitted nitinol framework delivers gentle radial force to maintain airway patency. Its design balances epithelial tissue integration at the uncovered ends with silicone coverage at the center to resist tumor ingrowth and prolong lumen integrity. The distal-release mechanism, guided by radiopaque markers, allows controlled deployment under bronchoscopic and fluoroscopic guidance. Compatible with standard 0.035″ pulmonary guidewires and deployable during flexible or rigid bronchoscopy.
