The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent is a sterile, single-use airway stent made of knitted nitinol with a 14 mm diameter and 40 mm length. It has a covered midsection (25 mm silicone) and uncovered ends, and is deployed via a distal-release catheter featuring radiopaque markers. Designed for bronchoscopic placement over a 0.035″ pulmonary Jagwire to relieve malignant airway strictures.
This self-expanding stent exerts constant radial force to maintain airway patency while balancing mucociliary clearance through epithelial integration at the uncovered ends. Its 25 mm silicone-covered section resists tumor ingrowth, improving long-term lumen patency. The distal-release delivery catheter allows precise deployment under fluoroscopic guidance, supported by radiopaque markers and flexible design. It is MRI-conditional and compatible with flexible or rigid bronchoscopy over a standard 0.035″ pulmonary Jagwire.
