Boston Scientific Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent System M00576420
The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent is a sterile, single-use uncovered nitinol airway stent measuring 8 mm in diameter and 40 mm in expanded length. It uses a low-profile, proximal-release delivery catheter with radiopaque markers for precise placement. Designed to maintain airway patency in malignant strictures under flexible or rigid bronchoscopy.
This self-expanding stent features a knitted nitinol design that adapts to anatomical contours, providing constant, gentle radial force to sustain lumen patency and resist kinking. The open-loop, uncovered ends promote mucociliary clearance and epithelization to resist migration. It employs a proximal-release mechanism that initiates deployment from the stent’s “top” for improved operator control. The delivery system spans 95 cm working length and is MRI-conditional when scanned under labeled conditions.
