The Ultraflex™ Large Esophageal NG Covered Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent with a 23 mm body diameter and 28 mm proximal flare. It has a total length of 12 cm with a 9 cm covered segment, delivered via a proximal-release system using a 0.038″ Jagwire. Designed specifically to maintain patency in larger malignant esophageal strictures and seal related fistulas.
Engineered for difficulty swallowing caused by large strictures, this stent combines knitted single-strand nitinol flexibility with strong radial force to maintain lumen openness under peristalsis. Its enlarged proximal flare and green suture markers enhance anchoring and endoscopic visibility, reducing migration and food impaction risk. The proximal-release mechanism allows precise placement via an endoscopic marker, often without fluoroscopy. It is MRI-conditional (1.5 T/3 T, ≤ 2 W/kg SAR) for safe imaging follow-up.
