The Ultraflex™ Esophageal NG Covered Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent with an 18 mm body diameter and 23 mm proximal flare. It measures 15 cm in total length with a 12 cm covered segment. Delivered via a proximal-release system compatible with a 0.038″ Jagwire, this stent is used to palliate malignant esophageal strictures and seal fistulas.
This knitted single-strand nitinol device offers reliable radial force and flexibility, adapting to peristaltic movement while maintaining lumen patency. A prominent proximal flare and green sutures enhance anchoring and enable endoscopic visualization to prevent migration and food impaction. The proximal-release mechanism, complete with a visible marker, enables precise stent placement—often without the need for fluoroscopy. It is MRI-conditional at 1.5 T/3 T (≤2 W/kg SAR), allowing safe post-deployment imaging.
