The Ultraflex™ Esophageal NG Covered Stent is a single-use, self-expanding nitinol stent with an 18 mm body diameter and 23 mm proximal flare. It has a 10 cm total length with a 7 cm covered segment and features a proximal-release delivery system compatible with a 0.038″ Jagwire guidewire. Designed to palliate malignant esophageal strictures and seal concurrent fistulas.
This knitted, single-strand nitinol stent offers strong radial force and flexibility to maintain lumen patency in peristaltic environments. Its elongated proximal flare and visible green sutures enhance anchoring, reduce food impaction, and aid endoscopic visualization. The proximal-release mechanism allows accurate deployment—potentially without fluoroscopy—using an endoscopic marker. The device is MRI-conditional at 1.5 T and 3 T under specified conditions for safe postoperative imaging.
