The Boston Scientific TRUEtome Cannulating Sphincterotome is a sterile, single-use over-the-wire device for ERCP procedures. It has a 3.9 Fr (1.3 mm) angled catheter and a 5 mm distal cut wire. With a 200 cm working length, its central lumen accepts .018–.025″ guidewires.
TRUEtome features DirecTip™ central-lumen technology that aligns the guidewire with the cutting wire, enhancing cannulation precision and reducing post-ERCP pancreatitis risk. Its steerable tip allows manipulation of the bow during sphincterotomy and selective ductal access. It supports multiple guidewire sizes (.018–.035″) and includes a handle brake for stable tip positioning.
