The Boston Scientific TRUEtome Cannulating Sphincterotome is a sterile, single-use ERCP device with a 4.4 Fr (1.47 mm) angled catheter and 20 mm cut wire. It has a 5 mm distal tip and 200 cm working length, compatible with .018–.035″ guidewires. Its DirecTip™ center-lumen design aligns the guidewire with the cutting wire for precise cannulation.
TRUEtome’s DirecTip™ central-lumen technology provides better control over wire placement, reducing wire angulation and facilitating smoother biliary or pancreatic duct access . The sphincterotome’s steerable tip and integrated handle brake enhance bow control during sphincterotomy and selective cannulation. Its 4.4 Fr angled catheter balances scope channel compatibility with enough lumen for larger guidewires up to .035″. Packaged individually, it is tailored for single-patient use with full ERCP device compatibility.
