The Epic™ Biliary Endoscopic Stent System is a single-use, self‑expanding metal stent designed for palliative treatment of malignant biliary strictures. It features a 10 mm diameter laser‑cut Nitinol stent mounted on a low-profile 6 Fr delivery catheter. The 220 cm catheter includes tantalum radiopaque markers at both ends for precise fluoroscopic placement.
This laser-cut stent minimizes foreshortening to improve accuracy during deployment. The low-profile 6 Fr catheter facilitates passage through tight strictures typical in unresectable cholangiocarcinoma. Radiopaque markers at the proximal and distal ends enhance visibility for precise positioning under fluoroscopy. The 220 cm working length is compatible with standard ERCP duodenoscopes and balloon-enteroscopy assisted ERCP.
