The Boston Scientific Epic™ Biliary Endoscopic Stent System is a single-use, laser-cut self-expanding metal stent used to palliate malignant biliary strictures. It has a 10 mm diameter and 60 mm length, delivered via a low-profile 6 Fr catheter compatible with 0.035″ guidewires. Tantalum radiopaque markers at both ends support precise fluoroscopic placement.
This laser-cut stent minimizes foreshortening to enhance placement accuracy and reduce the need for additional stents. The flexible, low-profile catheter enables delivery through tight strictures and supports use with ERCP and enteroscopy-assisted procedures. The thumb-wheel release with tactile and auditory feedback ensures controlled deployment. With a 220 cm working length and MRI conditional rating (1.5T/3T), it offers versatility and visibility across interventional techniques.
