Boston Scientific CRE Balloon Dilatation Catheters M00558400
The Boston Scientific CRE™ Wire guided Balloon Dilatation Catheter is a sterile, single-use device used for endoscopic dilation of strictures in the esophagus or pylorus. It features a 5.5 cm Pebax balloon that inflates sequentially to 8 mm, 9 mm, and 10 mm. The catheter includes an integrated guidewire and platinum‑iridium radiopaque markers for accurate fluoroscopic positioning.
This wire guided design preserves endoscope positioning during navigation through narrow or tortuous anatomy, enhancing control and procedural efficiency. The balloon inflates in three graduated stages—8 mm at 3 ATM, 9 mm at ~5.5 ATM, and 10 mm at 9 ATM—allowing stepwise dilation with a single device. Rounded shoulders and embedded radiopaque markers improve visualization and enable precise deployment under fluoroscopy. With its low-profile 7.5 Fr shaft, 180 cm working length, and compatibility with ≥ 2.8 mm scope channels, it supports a wide range of GI dilation procedures.
