Alectinib is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets ALK fusion proteins involved in the growth and survival of cancer cells. Alecensa is indicated for ALK-positive locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC and, in current product information, as adjuvant treatment after complete tumor resection for eligible ALK-positive NSCLC patients. Each hard capsule contains 150 mg of alectinib, equivalent to 161.33 mg of alectinib hydrochloride. The recommended adult dose in the Indian prescribing information is 600 mg twice daily, taken as four 150 mg capsules with food, with treatment continued according to the prescribed regimen.
