The Hot AXIOS Stent system is a sterile, single-use, fully-covered self-expanding metal stent preloaded within an electrocautery‑enabled delivery catheter. It features a 10 mm lumen diameter with a 21 mm flange and a 10 mm saddle length. The integrated catheter and stent facilitate a single-step transluminal access and deployment under EUS guidance.
Designed for endoscopic ultrasound–guided procedures, this system allows direct access through GI walls into adjacent fluid collections, bile ducts, or gallbladders without the need for tract dilation . The fully-covered nitinol stent with dual flanges creates a stable conduit, minimizing leakage and migration. The cystotome-tipped catheter uses electrocautery to traverse tissue in a single, controlled step, improving efficiency and reducing procedural risk. It is MRI‑conditional and indicated for up to 60 days of implantation for pancreatic fluid collections, gallbladder drainage, or biliary drainage after failed ERCP.
