The WallFlex Partially Covered Esophageal Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent with an 18 mm body diameter and 23 mm proximal/distal flares. It measures 10.3 cm in total length and includes a 7 cm silicone-covered middle section. Delivered via a low-profile 18.5 Fr catheter over a 0.038″ guidewire.
Constructed with braided nitinol and a durable Permalume™ silicone covering over the central portion, this stent balances radial support and tumor ingrowth protection. Flared ends anchor within the esophagus and help resist migration while the stent gradually expands over 24–72 hours for patient comfort. The coated polyester removal suture enables repositioning or retrieval during the initial placement. The delivery system offers coaxial 1:1 deployment with reconstrainment up to 75%, enhancing placement control. It is MRI‑conditional under specified guidelines.
