The WallFlex™ Duodenal Stent is a single-use, self-expanding nitinol stent designed for palliative treatment of malignant gastroduodenal obstructions. It expands to a 22 mm body diameter with 27 mm flared ends and spans 120 mm in length. The stent is delivered via a 10 Fr (≈ 3.3 mm) catheter over a 0.035″ guidewire, allowing deployment under endoscopic and fluoroscopic guidance.
This stent combines radial strength and flexibility to conform to the natural curvature of the duodenum while maintaining lumen integrity . Its mesh design and flared ends help prevent migration and assure sustained patency across strictures. The delivery system is recapturable and positionable up to ~70% deployment, offering enhanced procedural control. MRI-conditional use supports safe postoperative imaging when used as directed.
