The WallFlex Biliary RX Uncovered Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent with 10 mm diameter and 80 mm length. It’s delivered via a 7.5 Fr (≈ 2.5 mm) catheter over a 0.035″ guidewire. Designed for palliative treatment of malignant biliary strictures, it features flared ends to help resist migration and is MRI conditional.
Structured with flexible open-cell nitinol mesh, this uncovered stent maintains continuous radial force to keep bile ducts patent while allowing side-branch drainage—crucial in malignant biliary obstruction. Its reconstrainable delivery system supports repositioning during partial deployment for optimal placement. Flared ends minimize migration risk and reduce trauma to ductal walls. The device is MRI-conditional at 1.5 T and 3 T, enabling safe imaging post-implantation.
