The WallFlex™ Biliary RX Uncovered Stent is a sterile, single-use self-expanding nitinol stent measuring 10 mm in diameter and 100 mm in length. It is delivered via an 8 Fr (≈ 2.67 mm) catheter over a 0.035″ guidewire. Designed for palliation of malignant biliary strictures, it features flared ends to help reduce migration.
Constructed from flexible Platinol™ wire, this open-cell stent provides consistent radial force to maintain ductal patency while allowing drainage of side‑branch ducts—critical in malignant biliary obstruction relief. Its delivery system allows reconstrainment up to 80% to improve placement precision under fluoroscopic guidance. The flared ends work to resist migration and reduce trauma to the duct lining. It is MR‑conditional at 1.5 T/3 T, permitting safe post-procedural imaging.
