The WallFlex Biliary RX Uncovered Stent is a sterile, single-use, self-expanding nitinol stent with a 10 mm diameter and 60 mm length. It’s delivered over a 0.035″ guidewire through an 8 Fr (≈2.67 mm) catheter with a 194 cm working length. Designed for palliative relief of malignant biliary strictures, it features flared ends to help prevent migration.
This open-cell, Platinol™ wire-constructed stent provides robust radial force to maintain duct patency while allowing drainage from side branches due to its uncovered design. The delivery system is reconstrainable up to ~80% to aid in precise placement under fluoroscopy. Flared ends reduce migration risk, and the nitinol structure offers flexibility in tortuous anatomy. It is MR Conditional at 1.5 T/3 T and is indicated for palliative treatment of malignant biliary obstruction during ERCP.
