The Asahi Sion Plain PTCA guide wire is a 0.014″ (0.36 mm) hydrophilic coronary wire with a 0.7 gf tip load, designed for frontline use. It has a polymer jacket and is available in 190 cm or 300 cm lengths for flexibility in procedures. Ideal for navigating tortuous coronary anatomy during angioplasty.
The Sion Plain wire employs Asahi’s composite core (ACT ONE) technology to deliver excellent 1:1 torque response and maintain tip shape, reducing whip during use. Its hydrophilic coating over approximately 28 cm and polymer jacket enable smooth passage and enhanced lubricity in vessels. With a 3 cm radiopaque segment, it ensures clear fluoroscopic visualization for accurate placement. Available straight or J-tip, this workhorse wire supports deep distal access and reliable lesion crossing.
