Ethicon UltraPro Mesh UMS3 (6 × 11 cm) is a sterile, lightweight, partially-absorbable polypropylene mesh for hernia repair in open and laparoscopic procedures. It combines macroporous polypropylene with absorbable poliglecaprone‑25 for balanced strength. Each box contains three rectangular meshes.
This mesh uses a macroporous design that encourages tissue integration while reducing foreign-body load as poliglecaprone‑25 absorbs over time. It retains strength—withstanding more than twice normal abdominal pressure—while offering flexibility that mimics natural tissue movement. Large pores support fluid passage and reduce the risk of seromas and chronic inflammation. Supplied sterile in a box of three, it suits various hernia repairs with a tension-free approach.
