Covidien Insulated EDGE Coated Electrodes E1465B
The Insulated EDGE Coated Electrode E1465B is a sterile, single‑use needle electrode for electrosurgery. It features PTFE insulation and a Safety Sleeve to protect adjacent tissues. The EDGE elastomeric coating concentrates current at the tip for precise cutting with reduced sticking.
The E1465B electrode is designed for fine dissection and coagulation in delicate or confined surgical spaces where insulation is needed to prevent inadvertent thermal damage. Its PTFE insulation and Safety Sleeve enhance safety by minimizing stray current and physical contact with surrounding tissue. The durable EDGE coating allows efficient cutting at lower power, reducing tissue adhesion and char formation. After use, the electrode can be wiped clean with a moist sponge — no scraping is required, which streamlines workflow in the OR.
