Covidien Insulated EDGE Coated Electrodes E1455B
The Insulated EDGE Coated Electrode E1455B is a sterile, single‑use blade electrode used in electrosurgery. It has a total length of 6.99 cm (2.75 in) with an insulated PTFE shaft. The EDGE™ elastomeric coating concentrates current at the blade edge, enabling efficient cutting with reduced sticking.
The E1455B electrode is specifically designed for safe surgical use in tight or sensitive areas, thanks to its PTFE insulation and the included Safety Sleeve , which reduces the risk of unintended contact with surrounding tissues. Its elastomeric EDGE coating offers excellent cutting and coagulation performance at lower power settings, while minimizing char and eschar buildup.
