Covidien Standard EDGE Coated Electrodes E1450-4
The Standard EDGE Coated Electrode E1450-4 is a sterile, single-use blade electrode used in electrosurgery. It has a straight blade tip and a 4-inch (10.16 cm) total length. The EDGE™ elastomeric coating focuses current at the edge, enabling efficient cutting at lower power with easy cleaning.
The E1450-4 EDGE Coated Blade Electrode offers reliable cutting and coagulation performance in deep or extended surgical sites due to its longer blade length. Thanks to the proprietary elastomeric coating, it resists sticking and can be bent (up to ~90°) without damaging the surface, which improves flexibility in use. The longer design makes it particularly suited for areas where access is more challenging or where a longer reach is needed. After use, the electrode can be quickly cleaned by wiping with a moist sponge, reducing surgery interruptions.
