MAHURKAR DUAL-LUMEN[STRAIGHT] COVIDIEN 3
The Mahurkar Dual-Lumen (Straight) catheter is a short-term central vascular access device designed for haemodialysis, apheresis and infusion. It features two lumens in a straight extension configuration for insertion into central veins. The catheter is made from a thermosensitive polyurethane material to aid insertion and improve patient comfort post-placement.
This straight-extension version of the Mahurkar dual-lumen catheter is designed to deliver high and consistent flow rates while maintaining low arterial pressure thanks to its large internal lumen design. It uses laser-cut side slots near the distal tip to reduce occlusion risk and debris adherence. The thermosensitive polyurethane material provides optimal stiffness during insertion and softens after placement to conform to vessel anatomy, enhancing comfort and reducing vessel trauma. It is suitable for acute dialysis, apheresis, infusion and central venous pressure monitoring in critical-care and dialysis settings.
