The Contour Meniscus Arrow 80L/20D PLA 541116 is a resorbable fixation implant used in arthroscopic meniscal repair procedures. It features a copolymer of 80% L-PLA and 20% D-PLA for gradual absorption over time. The implant has a 1.1 mm outer diameter and a 16 mm length, designed for use in meniscal tissue.
This implant provides secure initial fixation of meniscal tears in the red-red or red-white vascular zones while gradually degrading as the tissue heals. Its barbed shaft design ensures anchoring within the meniscus without the need for knots or bulky hardware, reducing cartilage irritation. The 80L/20D PLA material retains strength during the critical early healing period (up to 24 weeks) and then resorbs to leave no permanent implant.
