Conmed Implant 40mm (15mm) Self-Reinforced CrossPin, Sterile CPP-4015
The Implant 40mm (15mm) Self-Reinforced CrossPin, Sterile CPP-4015 is a bioabsorbable implant used for femoral fixation in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. It is composed of Self-Reinforced™ poly-L-lactic acid (SR-PLLA), providing high strength and gradual absorption. This implant is designed for transverse femoral fixation of soft tissue grafts, offering increased pull-out strength and enhanced graft-to-bone contact.
The CPP-4015 CrossPin is part of the ConMed Linvatec Pinn-ACL® CrossPin System, which utilizes a unique surgical technique allowing surgeons to visualize the exact point of femoral fixation. The SR-PLLA material ensures the implant maintains strength during the critical healing period before gradually absorbing in vivo over approximately 15 to 24 weeks. The 40mm overall length with a 15mm cortical length is specifically designed to fit within the femoral tunnel, providing optimal fixation without penetrating the cortical bone. The implant is supplied sterile, ensuring readiness for single-use surgical procedures.
