Conmed BioScrew Bioabsorbable Interference Screws 9mm x 20mm C8013
The BioScrew Bioabsorbable Interference Screw 9 mm x 20 mm (Catalog #C8013) is a resorbable implant used for soft tissue graft fixation in orthopedic surgeries. It is made from Poly (L-Lactic Acid) to provide secure anchoring during early healing. Over time, the screw degrades, reducing hardware-related complications and eliminating the need for removal.
The BioScrew C8013 is intended for use in ligament reconstruction procedures (e.g. ACL, PCL) where grafts need stable fixation inside bone tunnels. Its bioabsorbable polymer structure provides sufficient initial mechanical strength while supporting biological remodeling. As the implant gradually degrades, it is replaced by natural bone, minimizing long-term implant presence. The availability of this 9 × 20 mm size allows surgeons flexibility to match tunnel and graft dimensions precisely.
