Velspan 2 mg Injection works by inhibiting proteasomes, cellular structures that help regulate protein breakdown in cancer cells. This action can interfere with the growth and survival of abnormal plasma cells and other cancer cells. Bortezomib may be used alone or in combination with other medicines depending on the patient’s diagnosis and treatment protocol. Treatment requires medical supervision because adverse effects can include peripheral neuropathy, low blood-cell counts, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue.
