The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent is a sterile, single-use, partially covered nitinol airway stent with a 12 mm expanded diameter and 40 mm length. It features an uncovered end design with a 25 mm silicone-covered midsection for tumor ingrowth resistance, deployed via a distal-release delivery catheter. Radiopaque markers on the flexible catheter aid fluoroscopic positioning through flexible or rigid bronchoscopy.
This self-expanding, knitted nitinol stent provides consistent radial force to maintain lumen patency in malignant or obstructive airway disease. The partially covered design balances mucociliary clearance and tissue integration at the ends with tumor ingrowth prevention in the midportion. Its distal-release mechanism supports precise placement at the lesion site, while the radiopaque markers facilitate accurate fluoroscopic deployment. The low-profile, flexible delivery catheter advances over a 0.035″ Jagwire, enabling easy navigation through challenging airways.
