The Ultraflex Tracheobronchial Stent System is a sterile, single-use, partially covered nitinol airway stent with a 12 mm expanded diameter and 30 mm length. It features a silicone-covered midsection to help resist tumor ingrowth, delivered via a distal-release catheter with radiopaque markers. Designed for palliation of malignant airway strictures under bronchoscopy.
This self-expanding stent combines uncovered ends to promote epithelization and mucociliary clearance with a covered center to limit tumor ingrowth and maintain patency. The knitted nitinol design provides consistent radial force while the flexible delivery system supports accurate placement—even across tortuous airway anatomy. Radiopaque markers on the catheter aid fluoroscopic positioning, and its distal-release mechanism allows controlled deployment from the lesion end. It requires placement over a 0.035″ pulmonary Jagwire and is compatible with flexible or rigid bronchoscopy.
