The Trapezoid RX Basket is a sterile, single-use, 3.0 cm open-diameter stainless-steel retrieval basket designed for crushing and removing large biliary stones. It features a Flexi‑Stiff guidewire-compatible catheter (0.035″) requiring a ≥ 3.2 mm endoscope channel. The detachable tip disengages under excessive load to help prevent basket impaction during lithotripsy.
This device blends flexible catheter design with strong basket mechanics to navigate biliary curves while capturing even tough calculi effectively. A side-port guidewire channel maintains access throughout the procedure, allowing contrast injection or guidewire exchange without device removal. The disengaging tip reduces the risk of entrapment if stones are too large or resistant. It is compatible with the Alliance II Inflation Handle for in-situ mechanical lithotripsy to fragment large stones.
